I think that the reason that not much thought is spent on vaccine damage by most people is because most of the time, the owner doesnt know about vaccine damage. Also, vaccine damage doesnt always show up within days of the shot. If it does show up after a recent vaccine shot, it is easier to equate the damage to the shot, but vaccine damage can and does show up much later in the dogs life.
Courtney has read my posts about vaccines and diet for a few years now. I know her to be a very loving, intelligent pet owner. She realized the connection between the shot and the vaccine. Had that damage come 3 months later, she may not have made that connection. Not many of us would. That is why that all of us who know the damage that vaccines can do must not relent on our education. We all have to take Courtney's experience and pass it on so that others will learn and be able to be the pet guardian that Court has been. I admire her determination to learn and to do what's right by Ace by talking with her vet, researching and documenting the damage. It's one thing to say, hey, it's vaccine damage, but it is another thing to take the time to protect not only Ace, but other dogs down the line.

Hopefully this documentation will help if I have to apply for an exemption when his rabies shot is due again.
Was the manufacturer name and lot # not on his vaccination certificate? Ours always is.

The producer is listed as SCH. I can't find any info about that on the web so I'm not sure how to contact them. Lot # is 1943897.

Court,
I havent had but one response from my question, but that person said that she thought that it was Schering/Plough, which sounds likely. People dont seem to like my questions on that board, but they can talk 4 days about a person who was getting a pup and the breeder had said that she wouldnt vaccinate and she did. It frustrates me.
If the spot is the same, thats better than still getting bigger. Maybe if its a big as its gonna get, it will start healing now.
Did you look at Dr. Harrisons website? I know that taking a step towards homeopathy is a big step, but at least Dr. Harrison is a vet. She is no longer licensed because she doesnt practice typical veterinary any more, but she knows all the things that a vet knows. She practiced as a vet for a good while before going totally to homeopathy.
Homeopathy is the ONLY thing that can undo the vaccine damage that Ace has. His spot may heal up, but the damage is still internal and will be with him forever. It doesnt cost much compared to reg vet work, is not invasive and does no damage. If you use medicine to heal the spot, the medicine has only done that, healed the spot. The damage is still there, internally. Medicine only heals the symptom. Homeopathy actually heals and it heals from the inside out. And, thats all I will say from now on. I wont harp at you.
