Those of you that have signed up for the blood trailing workshop on June 22nd or are thinking of signing up...or those that just want to watch...this workshop is for both beginner and advanced dogs and their handlers as well as anyone else just interested in learning more about tracking dogs.

I think everyone will get a lot of out of this event AND everyone that signs up with a dog will get a container of deer blood to take home with them too.

Topics will include:

Philosophies on dog training and behavior
Selecting a tracking prospect
Building and nurturing motivation + mental conditioning
Laying artificial lines
Leash work
Working off lead
Trash breaking
Obstacles in the field
Cross training dos and don'ts
Side arms & first aid kits

Then everyone will have a chance to work their dog on a blood trail. After each dog goes, we will take a second to discuss what went on with that dog and there will be time for Q&A.

The NLDA is also going to be raffling off a Yeti cooler so be sure to stop by our booth.

For more information or to sign up, send an email to

This workshop will start at 9:30 in the morning but the NLDA will be around all day doing demos with the dogs and answering questions.

Again, this is at the Brazos County Expo Center in Bryan on June 22, 2013.

Bryan, TX 77807

The workshop will take place at the back of the property, behind the South Arena. If it's hot or rainy, we will do the lecture part inside the arena and move to the woodlot when we are ready to to trails. Either way, there will be signs directing people where to go. :-BD

Many thanks to the LSBA for having us! As always, we are very excited and looking forward to the event.
