We owe a huge THANK YOU to Amber and DJ for hosting this meeting and event.

It looks like we will also be able to give people an opportunity to have their tracking dogs tested and certified.

This test is non-competitive. It was designed to give owners an opportunity to prove their dog's natural tracking ability.

The mock trail will be 500 yards, aged at least 8 hours, have three 90 degree turns, using 6 ounces of blood and a drag with deer hide placed at the end of trail.
Because time and space are limited, we can not accept more than 4 dogs. So, if you are interested, please let me know asap.

Just in case anyone is curious, here is the list of dogs we have certified so far. The * indicates the dog was certified as an advanced tracker.

He said there's a slight chance, but it's not likely. He doesn't have any places where he could take a lot of people, and it depends on the weather, too.

10-4 hell if I can I ll try to get Deek loaded up and go see y'all

Thanks for posting that list, Court! We've certified more dogs that I realized.

I will try and leave most of the body parts at home. Although we can at least be able to tell if anyone up their is the "walking dead". Alrighty, I will show a completed dog and where we are with Tank in training. With all his horomones kicking in he can be quite the pistol lately. Most males dogs go through a dumb stage in training around 12-18 months. Act like they have forgotten everything they ever learned. He is doing that a bit but it is normal --so like most women we have to be patient with the MALES :ymdevil: ;) ;)

I'm excited about your demo, Kathy. I missed the one at Reveille Peak, and everyone said how interesting it was!

Which one Horse N Heeler? Whenever my friends tell me.. I will be getting there around 8 am-9 am and like to have my source age a bit before I work it. So whenever I leave that up to the Board and hostess with the moistest.

I am most interested in the cadaver demo. And the cert will be neat as well. We hope to be there 9:30-10:00 God willing...

I'll be heading out of the ranch soon- going to Round Rock to spend the night with my sister- then on the Alto. Can't wait to see everyone! Looking forward to meeting new friends and getting to spend time with some old friends. In case everyone doesnt know it- I love my Amber, DJ and Eli and dont get to see them nearly enough. If you dont know them, dont pass up an opportunity to meet them. They are the most wonderful young people. We cant thank them enough for filing in and letting us use their place for the meeting.

I really wish we could have stayed for the meeting and activities today. But I do thank Courtney, Rod, Amber, DJ (and Eli), and Betty for sharing their afternoon with us Friday. We really enjoyed meeting everyone and visiting with you and your Lacys. It's the first chance we've had to personally talk about the breed and learn new things. We are really looking forward to future meetings or events! We are thrilled to be a part of the NLDA. If y'all ever find yourselves in Northeast Louisiana, I do hope you will look us up :)

I would like to thank Amber and DJ for their hospitality! And to everyone involved for great time and very informative day. The demos were great and quite educational. And then a trip to the bay pen this evening to top it all off.

All in all, lots of info, great folks, new friends and a wonderful time, I look forward to more!

Thanks to all!!

Werner

It was a good meeting. We got a good bit accomplished and had a good time.

Thanks, Amber and DJ for making your home available.

I so enjoyed getting to see Tank and Yeager work. It's pretty amazing and Kathy does a great job with her dogs! They're wonderful to watch. Tank is gonna be a dang good SAR dog!

I really enjoyed meeting Karen and Jeff! Was pretty amazed that they drove 5 hours to come meet some lacy people!

Werner and Glenda were lent such a positive note to the meeting, even tho they dont have a lacy and probably wont for a while. They stayed all day and into the evening and we really enjoyed them.
