I've got a little situation I need some help on. Recently the have been a couple of deer hit on the highway that runs beside our house. It's about a hundred yards away, just close enough for the dogs to wind the deer. How do I keep a "tracking" dog not to do what it knows? I don't want to punish them where they think finding deer is bad. But I don't want them dead on the side of the road too.

When you hear a thump...make chili! ;)

I would drag them further down the road with a chain
