Another day of below freezing temperatures and a covering of sleet on the ground. I dont know how cold it got last night, but nothing is melting yet.

This morning I went out to tend to my old cat who got to spend the night in the warm room that I keep my plants in. Some of the cows and the donkeys had come down looking for food and water, so I fed them. Abe was the only dog who came out with me. He is the most sensitive to the cold, but you cant keep him in if something is going on. Abe kept some of the cows that were late in coming down at bay until I called him off.

Wish that I had had my video on him. He would run up to them, then he would have to put the brakes on and would go sliding up to them! Instead of running and jumping the cattle guard, he ran up to it, slid up to it, then jumped!

Now, after doing his 'work' for the day, he is snuggled up on Roy's lap, nice and warm and loved!

I think we're the only ones in TX that didn't get snow or ice. I shouldn't complain, but since we're stuck in the house with a sick kid, we might as well get a little snow out of the deal!

All three of the huge trees at our rent house in Dallas split down the middle. :( One was a beautiful pecan that was at least 100 years old.
