Deer season is over, and the dogs can hit the woods! I've got a new place to hog hunt and I took the dogs for the first time today. I wasn't able to take Aggie or Hazel (my two best dogs), so I wasn't sure how we'd do. Took Howdy, Pearl, Hattie, and Sully, and Pansy (catch dog).

We ended up with about a 160 pound boar and a 80-lb sow. All in all, I guess they did alright.Pearl and Sully (mother and son) bayed the boar and Pansy caught. Howdy and Hattie (father and daughter) caught the sow...the other three didn't show up until after I tied it.

This was Sully's first hunt...he'll turn 1 on February 6. He's turned into a good looking dog, and he's a third-generation Middleton dog (we own his grandmother Aggie and his mother Pearl). No pics this time...sorry!

Sounds like a good hunt! I know you and the dogs both were glad to get out in the woods again!

Saw pics of Eli with his trapped coons. Need to hear the story on that too. He's quite the little boy!!

Robby, it's a bobcat that they're after! I'm probably not supposed to blab his business on the internet, but DJ had it caught and it slipped the trap. He just started trapping, so he was pumped about going after this cat that's been eating the neighbor's chickens. When he saw on the trail cam photos that it had been caught, he did one of these... :(( X( #-o
