I am excited, too! I think we can make this one. I have a question about the tracking certification . . . I assume we start with level 1. Can we do multiple levels that weekend? I do not know how it works. And since this is our first event, what should we bring? I want to help any way I can :)

Karen, I so hope you guys can make it! We would love to show you around the Texas Hill Country.
Questions about the certification really need to go to TBT, since they are the ones putting it on but I can help a little.

I know each dog gets its own trail and there are three levels of certification. As far as I know, you can choose any level at any time. In other words, you don't have to start at 1 and work your way to 3. I think the cost for level 1 is $50 but I'm not sure.

TBT 1 is 400 yards aged at least 2 hours
TBT 2 is 800 yards aged 8 hours
TBT 3 is 1000 yards aged overnight

We would like to do something further down south. We dont ignore you people down there and now that we have some active members down there, perhaps we can get something worked up.

Little late to decide this, but we will be having a silent auction at the field day. If you have anything that you would like to donate, please bring it and we will auction it off. Most anything works for a silent auction, doesnt have to be hunting related. Just something that someone else might like and want to spend some money on. I will be bringing a barbed wire heart and a barbed wire cross.

We've gotten several people committed to the silent auction! Very pleased about that. Looks like it will work, even at this late date!
