He's eight weeks old today and chewing the wood on the door frame. I put Louisiana hot sauce on and he waits till it's dry and starts all over. Are there any sure fire things to use.

I heard boil jalapeños and spray the water where you don't want dog chewing.
You can also go to per mart and buy bitter apple spray

They make several different no-chew sprays for dogs, but I've seen Lacys that like them! :-? Does he have chew toys that you can redirect him toward? Deer antlers work well, too.

Re-direct is the way to go, I suspect, but I dont know how to tell you to do it. Courtney can.

One night, many years ago, it was night and getting cold. Husband was at work and called me and told me that I needed to cover the outside pipes. Of course, dont ever do anything like that before it gets cold! LOL!! Anyhow, I went out to the dog pen to cover the pipe that went into the house. Didnt take enough tape with me, so had to go back inside. Came back out and Peppy, our Golden Retriever/ Irish Setter mix had already chewed off the insulation that I had put on. I severely yelled at her, put the insulation back on, taped it all the way up and went back in the house. Little bit later, went outside to check on it and insulation was all torn up again. ARGHHHHH! Rewrapped the pipe one more time, put jalapeno juice, black pepper and cayenne pepper on it. Did not phase that dog! I was one made dog owner!! Frozen and didnt know what to do. I once again rewrapped it and covered it with wood from the wood pile and said to myself- if that doesnt do it, the husband will have to take care of it after the pipe bursts!! :)) That dog chewed until she passed!
