Finally trapped a bushy tail and let Toby go at it! Three more steps to getting him in the woods full time!!! These were all taken on my phone so quality isn't great...

I love the picture of him eyeball to eyeball with the squirrel!! Intent!!

My dogs were outside when I started playing the video. They came running in to see what the fuss was all about!

Released the squirrel with Toby on his a$$ this morning. He did fairly well...should have tied him to the tree before I shot it, but I was running out of hands.

Caught another squirrel...going to do the final release this afternoon without Toby seeing which way it goes. Hopefully he'll trail and tree it good! Wish us luck!!! :-BD

Well yesterday afternoon didn't go too well for Toby...he is still pretty young and he was really excited and never really took the time to try and smell for the squirrel.

On a positive note...I let Remi have a try and after running some excitement out of her, she treed hard and we were able to shoot it out for her! :-BD

Funny part of the story...I couldn't find my shotgun before we let the squirrel go. Afterwards, we took a short walk through the woods to see if Remi would tree again and there my shotgun was, against the tree I had leaned it against last Friday! L-) It sure is clean after the monsoon we had last weekend! It might need a small coat of RemOil now! :))
