Please tell me this is part of the puppy stage. Well my 4 month old lacy chews on things that are not his such as, blankets, wood, my remote (while i was on my bed), dog bed, gets things off the computer desk, etc. Well went into town this morning to get dog food, well I come out and find my.sattlite radio, 2 out of 3 wires were chewed in half and had bite marks on the unit, got some fuel and i saw him attempt to chew on the wire again, needless to say trav, got yelled at once again. I wasnt happy infact I wanted to sell him (my anger gets out of hand at times). Lucky me that I have a Bluetooth radio so I had some tunes to go home on. music calms me down.

I love my puppy but I cant leave him alone. He is limited to one room which is plenty to run around in. Right now he is asleep in my lap and we go walking 3 times a day and he sleeps in between walks. And he has a rubber tire and a tennis ball.

Some things I listed he does when I leave the room I just hope he doesnt kill himself via pwr wire.

Just wanted to see if yall had any advice for me. no matter how much i say no nothing helps . My other boy was the best pup as he only chewed on his toys so working with trav is tough

Oh one more thing I cant use him for blood trail, or baying as I have an acre of land in town and its some what fenced in but have free roaming cats (need advice on for him to not chase them)

Thank ya for any help once again, I would hate to sell my boy because of the chewing. Everyday its no and leave it

Have you tried using a crate? - he can't tear up what he can't get to.... ;)

Well he sleeps in his crate during naps and bed time. But I tend to leave him out if I have to fix breakfast that is when he gets fed sometimes he tears up then other times he is laying down in front of the door

I have been putting him in is his crate if I am out of the room for more then 2minutes

Got any suggestions about leaving him in the truck he rides in the cab maybe a treat with food inside

A Kong toy with a treat inside is a good idea. That should keep him busy for a little while.

Some puppies chew on things worse than others. My Lucy was pretty awful as far as chewing on things. Some of my furniture has chew marks on it, which was pretty distressing to me. Lucy was pretty hyper as a pup and she nearly drove me crazy. Larry, on the the other hand, would start to chew on something, I would tell him 'no' and that's all there was to it. He chewed only on things that I allowed him to chew on. I dont remember Abe chewing on things very much, but he had 2 older dogs to play with. He did nearly drive Larry crazy!

My sister has a blue heeler cross and that dog has destroyed her furniture and started pulling up her carpet! Now that she is over a year old, she is much better, but she washorrible!

The kong would be a good idea. It works wonders for most dogs. Other than that, maybe one of those fake bones that are supposed to be good for teeth. I dont usually advise something like that, but in a case where a dog needs to chew, they are pretty indestructible.

He will grow out of it, plus he needs to learn that he has things that he can chew on and things that he cant.

Well I guess I was being a little hard on the boy. Since buddy never chewed on anything that wasnt his. He is teething I noticed it when I was playing with him and there was some blood on my hand.

While I get mad at him for that I have to understand that his gums hurt causing that.
Things are looking better (I am trying not to get upset with him as much)
So far his toys are
Rubber tire with rope
Tennis ball
Old sandal (without straps)

Give him an antler to chew on. I've kept all the spike antlers I've shot over the years, and they have been absolutely the BEST chew toy for Shoes. They keep his teeth clean, full of vitamins, he LOVES them, they don't upset his stomach like rawhides and pig ears, they last a long time...

Shoes chewed on one of my boots once and I told him no and gave him his antler. I think I can count on one hand the times he's chewed when he shouldn't. Except if you leave him in his crate with a blanket or pad for too long, he will get bored and chew a hole in it.
