I put Steve in charge of the camera tonight during agility class, and surprise, a couple turned out! We've been going to a weekly class for just over 6 months and things are finally starting to click. I could use some practice :ymblushing: but Sadie's doing awesome. We just started a second class yesterday, so now we'll do formal agility twice a week, and we may even go to our first informal trial on Saturday to get practice in a strange ring. I think we'll be ready for a real competition by the late summer or early fall.

I was really nervous about this when we started, but she's nailing the weave poles:

She loves the A-frame, though we need to work on hitting the contact zones, she prefers to launch herself off the obstacle:

Learning the moves:

Jumping:

And I'll end with her worst habit, getting so excited that she starts to nip at my knees. She actually got my butt last time #-o That herding instinct is so intense, but we're working on it:

Thank you for the compliment but as you can see, its not the camera that makes the magic, its the photographer. I have not earned that title ^:)^

I dont see a thing wrong with the pictures, Steve!! They are just action pictures. I love them all!! I love seeing Sadie responding to Julie and I love seeing Julie leading Sadie on. The last one is a HOOT!!

Yup, she loves agility, and that's why she's going for my knee /:) We get a couple obstacles in and she's so excited she can't handle. Either that or she's rudely asking for a treat. Sigh... we'll figure it out. There are a couple other hilarious pictures, but that one is definitely my favorite!

Wow, that looks like fun. All except for the being bitten part. :-) And Sadie looks a lot like Cannon in those shots: hardly any white, trim and buff... he just has a tad bulkier build.

Assuming it is a night of the week that works (still being set), Cannon and I will start the introductory class in a couple of weeks. The first class is the foundation of the handler-dog relationship. This club does a lot of that and builds up to the agility skills.

I'm really looking forward to it.

He better not bite my butt though!
