Yes I know I`m a few days late BUT I finally had a chance to set down and do some typing ;)

Mike hunted a new place Sunday morning with a couple of fellow Hill Country Hog Doggers.
All he took was Trapper, Brutus & Maya. Trapper and Brutus both gave merit to the breed and made Mike proud. Trapper was his usual self...gone and working hard!
Brutus was not a minutes trouble despite all the strange new male dogs on the hunt and he got out there and hunted hard! And of course when the bays broke he was quick to the scene!

The morning started bright and early, Mike left at 4a.m. they dropped dogs at about 5:30a.m. 10 minutes later they had the first of 4 bays and caught hogs! Nothing big enough to brag about but 4 less oinkers tearing up the Hill Country. (80 to 150 lb)
The recent rains and cooler weather has everything out and about moving around including the hunters! :)) Mike is headed out again in the morning.

I would have video except Mike in all his gracefulness..broke his vid camera on this hunt :(
If they get anything in the morn..I wont wait so long to post about it :))

Just got a call from Mike..... He just has to brag on Brutus.....

One pig down on the first loop. 100lb boar with teeth. It currently resides tied to a tree and awaiting transport back to the pens, after they are done catching the rest of his family.

Ill continue to update live hunt style, assuming any more action.

Steve

:)) Thanks Steve !!
Well they only got the one but I`m thinking that has more to do with Mike being tired than it did the dogs...
Anyway that boar the boys rounded up and Mike tied to a tree..well he now resides in my pen out back.

OHHHHHHHHHH that reminds me..my piglet got out the other night..Yuki and the Maya's were throwing a fit!!!!!!! "Porky" never left the property, he was grubbing by the dog yard...hope he gets smarter before the puppies get here and we introduce them.. :ymdaydream:
