Well Digger (Lacy) and Sadie (Blue Dog) are 3 for 4 on deer this year. One buck was supposably gut shot with a bow and dogs didnt find anything. We went out the next day and nothing. We havent even seen birds in the area. Maybe it was hit a bit high in no mans land. Two gut shot does with bows resulted in two live deer being caught by Digger. Sadie was there to help. Very little blood on both does but if you do the right thing and let them lay, dogs will find within 250 yards. Our guides know the drill.

B Team Chili (catxhound) and Sadie did good, Chili gets excited and will at times chase a live deer that is on or close to the track. She did it again and got corrected at the end. Sadie broke on the live deer and came back when she noticed it was not the right track. Some more positive renforcement should take care of Chili. She has too much drive and a hell of a nose. Now if we could just focus the drive.

B Team is getting the call this week, as Digger got hit in the eye (think he got kicked by a doe) and it is bruised, nothing major but will be on injured reserve until the weekend.

Been a busy weekend, Its looking like I may be sick on Friday.... got deer to shoot ;)
