I took the "A" team with me to work today. Trapper, Brutus, Yuki & Maya

After working for the better part of the morning, we turned the dogs out. We had a young man with us that was experiencing hog dogging for the first time today. SO I figured we we catch one real quick and get back to work for a while. Trapper, Bru & Yuki had other plans..we caught three in that little turn out.
Finally got the dogs wrangled and put back in the dog box and got back to work.

Work all wrapped up for the day we were ready to turn the dogs out again..
Over the course of 2 1/2 hours we caught 9 more hogs bringing our total for the day to 12. They ranged in size from 10lbs to 100lbs so nothing big but it was a hell of a lot of fun!

My boy(Sawyer) was with me and he had an awesome time right up until the tumble on the mountain..strained his ankle but he still got his little behind down to the bay! I was so proud! :-BD And the young man we took out had the time of his life! He can't wait to do it again!!

Wish you could have been there Steve! Brutus hunted his ass, he even out hunted Yuki!
And we were running from one bay to another all evening.

The only injury being Sawyer's and he is going to live.. :))
We dispatched most of the hogs but kept the smaller ones for the pups here at the house.
The picture is not that great since it was night and taken with my phone but here ya go!

I sure would have rather been out there, catching hogs with you!

Oh well, I am WAY behind on this project so its best that I get it done.

I'm glad to hear Trapper's up and running again. Sounds like fun!

We (Steve, Mike & Myself) always had an inkling that Bru would hunt out better without Steve there..like Sadie did when you weren't there Julie ;)

What was cool was him out hunting Yuki!! :-

That "job" has been exhausting ...dang near a month on the same ranch cleaning trees up between hog runs...ready for a change of scenery!
