Took the dogs out this morning. Aggie and Sunny had to stay home because they're in heat, but I took Piper and Cookie. Heath, Jeff, Aaron, and Chase came with several dogs, too.

We hunted for a ways and got down close to the creek, when Tuff and Ricky both struck several hundred yards apart. We got to Tuff just on the other side of the creek and most of the other dogs were there baying. We were about to cross on a log, when we saw two hogs break and run out. They still had some bayed up. We cut the bulldogs loose and crossed the log. As soon as I got across the creek, a 130# boar ran by with Piper on his tail. Heath and I went to her, and Ike got there and caught. After we stuck it, I realized Cookie wasn't around, so I looked at her on the Garmin. It looked like she might have been in the creek, so I got worried and headed that way, while the rest of the guys went to Ricky's bay.

When I got close to Cookie, I realized she wasn't in the creek, but I was still worried because the Garmin showed that she wasn't moving. I ran up on a 170# sow, and it scared me at first. Then I realized Cookie was on its other side on the ear. Got it stuck and headed back to the guys. We probably only hunted 200 acres, and ended up with 7 hogs in two hours (two shoats and the rest over 125#). Needless to say we had a happy landowner.

There is nothing else like a short hunt and big haul. Congrats!

Julie I guess I will take that as a compliment. We definatly have an assortment, couple lacys, couple muts, some mixes, and a cur.

She is doing good. Although she has caught a little crazy a couple of times this year. We like them to catch on the ear, and most of the time she has been. But a couple of weeks ago she caught a leg, and Saturday she caught one of the boars by his man hood if you know what I mean :-o :-o . Anyway the main thing is that she never lets go.

DJ, that's the most important detail...that she doesn't let go! :))
