Had pretty good hunt today. As soon a we dropped dogs they were acting froggy I we knew there was plenty of fresh sign. A couple minutes later we had 3 bays going. Me and Jeff went one and the other guys went to the others. Our bay ended up breaking and they did not stop him again. We went back to Heath, Aaron, Chase, and Ryan. They had caught 2. One boar about 220lb and a shoat about 30lb. It was not long after that the dogs got back on a runner. They stayed with him for a good ways.

We ended parking the atvs about 500yds out. They had him bayed in a down tree top. He was about 170lb or so. I was ready to call it but they wanted to swing by the river real quick. So you know how that goes 1 more small pig, and another decent boar that ended up smoking the dogs, we finally got out of there about 1130. Anway luckily none of the dogs over heated. We had several dogs that got cut, including Aggie but nothing life threatening. This was Aggie's first hunt since she was bred about 6 months ago. She did pretty good... they said it was just Aggie and Yellow dog baying the big boar until the others caught the shoat and went to them.

Looks like fun!

I'm studying for finals, but hopefully I can get back to hunting in a few weekends. :)

Congrats on a great hunt. Glad to hear the dogs didn't overheat with the temps what they are today.

Way to go DJ and Aggie!

Also, I love that you call it "froggy" :)) We've always said "birdy" but I think a jumpy frog is a more apt description.
