I have had Possum on the ground 3 times this year. He is a year old. Its exciting watching his little mind work and start putting pieces together. As soon as I collared him up, he knew he had to go find a deer. I dropped him with a new dog Im working (first time to see deer), and as I walked him to the spot where I shot the doe, he hit the scent and was off....It was open so I was able to watch him work out the track. 60 yards no problem....straight to the doe. I let him chew on her for a while. It was his prize. He is working a little fast but once I start working him with Sadie mid season I hope he slows down....

Your dogs are starting the season off right! Way to go, Possum (love his name, too)!

Is Sadie his momma?
