Went by myself this morning. I took my Lance's (brotherinlaw) dog Ricky, Aggie, and Cookie. Unfortunately Pearl is in heat so she missed it. Dogs did pretty good, didn't catch any monsters but we had a good time.

We had not been hunting long when they started getting in some fresh sign started working went about 500 yds and caught a shoat in the pasture. By the time me and Cookie got there they had already hit the woods. Was not long and they were baying about 200yds in. It was fairly thick turned Cookie loose from about 40 yds and they had a 100lb sow caught. Got her stuck the lacys left. I started dragging out the sow and didn't get 40yds and they started baying about 600yds in. Me and Cookie made it about 200yds I checked them on the garmin again, and they were .7miles threw some really thick stuff. Almost 30 minutes later we get there I hear a pig squeel, turned Cookie loose for insurance and they had a 30lb pig. I cant believe they were baying that little guy for that long. I would like to think they had several bayed, the rest broke and they caught the little guy.

Anyway here is a video and some pics

D.J.,
I apologize that you had to go hunting by yourself. I will do everything in my power to keep you from having to do that when I return. I know this was real torture, so my recomendation is for you to wait until I get back, so that I can supervise your hunting. :)) Sometimes you just gotta' do what you gotta' do.
Seriously, I am glad you had a good time and a successful day at that. I am anxious to see how Pearl does, once she gets to go out hunting. For those of you who don't know she is one of the best looking Lacy gyps I have ever seen. I bet she will be a great hunting partner.
Bobby :ymcowboy:
P.S. I have to rib you about the fact that I just made a deal on a pup (litter mate to yours) mine is better though. :D game on!!! :-

Awesome run DJ! Love the pics. And Sadie thought the video was pretty cool, though I'm sure the neighbors didn't appreciate it :))

I'm just surprised you went alone. I figured Eli would benout there sticking pigs by now ;)

Julie, when I watched the video, I thought Sadie might enjoy it! DJ looked like a pincushion last night after running through that thick stuff.
