Thanks for letting me come out and put the dogs on some hogs! I really appreciate that. I wasn't expecting a whole lot out of them but was happy to see Roush show some interest. Next time I won't be so late!

JPepper your welcome and you to Alex. Roush is a good looking pup he did well for his first time on hogs. Monster is getting better it just takes time . The bay pen is so different than the woods. Because you are not judgeing the dogs in the woods for mistakes. Had a blast guys hope to get together again soon . We need a work day on the pens before the bay in Jan.

Thanks.... I was a little hesitant about starting Roush on such a big pig because I wanted to build his confidence up not tear it down and he'd never been face to face with one before in a pen. Once I saw he was interested though I just let him go do his own thing on the pig, think he might have been more gritty and into it on a smaller one though.

I don't plan on my dogs being bay pen dogs but woods dogs, though I wouldn't mind coming out again. Just let me know. Don't believe that I'll bring Shelby(female) out ever again. She's a weird, awkward dog. Sometimes she'll get after it and other times she's useless, think it's just her and being a female? She stood still in that pen even when the hog ran past and knocked into her. In the woods she will NOT shut up until she hits the ground if she scents some hogs.
