Post subject:  Help with Lacys working cattle

There is a man I have been speaking with recently about pups. He is very very interested in the Lacy breed and intends to use the dogs for multiple purposes on a large ranch. One of the things he wants to use them for is helping with his cattle. My dog helps me some around our place but I have no experience on the scale that he will be doing. Nor do I know of anyone.

Could someone please either pm me or respond here with contact information on someone who does that he could call and talk to? He really wants this to work and has expressed a little frustration at the lack of help available to him in getting to know this breed.

Jamie, he can contact Bob Lacy- rcl@wcc.net and I bet Bob would talk to him. Or maybe Aaron Low?

If it's the guy from CO, I think I've emailed with him. Aaron uses his Lacys on cows, but nowhere near the extent that this guy will want his to work. A couple of people have told him that they won't be able to handle the weather, but I disagree.

I feel like he's wanting someone to give him a guarantee that they will fit the bill, but IMO, he'll just have to get a couple of Lacys and try them out.
