Steve and I went to the new bay competition in McCoy on Saturday. It was run by Roger from Cool Arrow and I must say they did a great job. I definitely recommend checking it out in January or hitting up Roger's bays in Pearsall. I'll continue to post the details for those competitions in the Events section.

The pigs were pretty green, lots of running early in the day, but our woods dogs still didn't have the style to place in the money. Sadie hit the ground at top speed when Steve threw her in, but she took one look at the boar, realized she had no buddies to support her and backed up pretty quick. She did much better in the Two Dog, but I think my dreams of paying the rent with a champion bay dog are over 8-)

There were three other Lacys there, our buddy Patrick brought Rooster, who Mike and Steve trained, and Reagan and Rachael Connally brought their dogs Levi and Chula. Chula is a little 11-month-old red female from Jimmy, and even though it was her first time in a pen, she was a hell-raising representative of Brooks breeding :)

Here are the best Lacy pics I got...

This dog isn't a pure Lacy, he's out of a papered Blue Lacy and a papered Yellow Black Mouth Cut, yet he came out a blue brindle color. Looks pretty interesting.

And these are a few more of my overall favorites…

I have some really good ones, and a ton of them, of Rooster & Sue in our bay pen with Kass & Mike working them .

Y'all needed Hidie, she still shines like a rock star in a bay pen!!
Who won the comp. ?
