You know I was thinking.......it would be fun if we put together a "get together" of sorts towards the end of deer season for Lacy Dogs & their owners to trade training tips on tracking. Bring some blood & hides and run some trails. Nothing sanctioned but just a play day so to speak for blood trailing.

We could even talk Jimmy into speaking about trapping & tracking with Lacy Dogs.
Give the dogs a chance to show off or learn some new things.

Just a thought...I used to be proud that Mike & Kass drop their deer and haven't needed tracking, until this year when I`m working with a new pup...lol guess Legend will have to make do with man-made trails !

I think that is an awesome idea. What would that be, late January? I still haven't done blood trialing with Sadie, but I sure would like to, and I can't imagine a better place to start. And a seminar from Jimmy would be great as well. I learned from my trap line pictures that people really have no idea what trapping with dogs is about.

Let's start planning!

I`m working on some dates and possible places to hold a Blood Trial Play Day.
If ANYONE has a suggestion then throw it out there! So far it is looking like The Play Day is a girl thing judging by the lack of response from the guys..ehhmm...

I might be able to donate some hides for a blood trail seminar. I have two in the freezer right now and will probably collect a couple more in the next few weeks.

I think it's a great idea...just let us know when and where. I'd offer to try to find a place, but I don't think y'all would want to make the journey to East Texas ;)
