The Lacy Dog, as we call it, has been called many things.
The Lacy Hog Dog, The Blue Lacy, The Lacy Game Dog, Texas Blue Lacy
They are all the same dog.

In the early days they were Lacy Hog Dogs due to what they were bred for by the Lacy Brothers. That was often shortened to Hog Dog or Lacy Dog.

Flash forward many years and you get the names, Blue Lacy & Lacy Game Dog.
With the dog being used as the State Dog Of Texas, suddenly we had a new title
Texas Blue Lacy or Texas Blue Lacy Game Dog. That's a mouth full huh?

Regardless of what you call them, a Lacy is a Lacy is a working breed ;)
History may change their names but not their status as a working breed.
