I have had to move the dogs to the back porch during the day because it is just too hot in the kennel. (The kennel is between the house and fence on the North side of the house so it is out of the sun but there is no breeze.) I constructed a run on the back porch so they can get off the concrete into the dirt to potty. The concrete is 100% shaded and is probably the coolest place in the yard. I can't let her run because the chickens are out during the day and well, since she eats raw chicken she has taken it upon herself to try some FRESH chicken. I just love how Bailey lays to get her belly as close to the cool concrete as possible.

Rachael, I haven't posted any updates in a while but Bailey is doing great, getting big, SMART, and has gotten over the shyness. She has been in the bay pen a couple of times and after putting in a couple experienced dogs, she got the idea. She goes everywhere with me, to feed horses, to the ranch to fill feeders, and anywhere I can take her inside with me. I will take some pictures or a video next time I go to the bay pen.

Thanks for the update! She looks so cute. :) Her momma does that all the time, too, especially when she's drying off. lol Thanks for the update! I love to hear how the pups are doing. It sounds like she's making a real good dog for you. :)
I can't wait to see those bay pen pictures! Her brother, Diesel, runs with the big dogs when we hunt. I think, though, he just shows up after the hard work is done to look like he helped at the bay. lol

I would let her run if I went hunting too, I just don't go much in the summer. I will try and get some new pics soon.

So this evening I was trying to take pictures of the little pit puppy in the background because I am trying to give him away. (My wife found him running down the middle of th highway a few months ago) Anyway apparently Bailey wanted in the picture too! She timed her jump perfectly.
