Got a couple of pics of Abe's and Lady Bug's red pup that lives in Colorado. He is a beautiful dog! Looks like he has Lucy's cocked ear, as many of her progeny do.

Yes, Bob was very happy with the litter. He kept a small female that we all liked really well. But, she and Lady Bug are gone now. Bob lives on a ranch in the middle of no where. Lots of other properties around him. Lady Bug and Sassy had been going hunting on their own and didnt come back the last time. Bob, of course, is heart broken. I was pretty upset too, as Roy and I had really looked forward to watching her grow up. I hear that the other pups are doing good.

Gabe, Indie is 6 months old.

Bob lives on a ranch surrounded by lots of other ranches. We dont know for sure what happened, but there are a few scenarios. Lady Bug was in heat and she probably went looking for a suitor and of course, Sassy went with her. It was lambing season and neighboring ranchers have out poisoned bait for coyotes and bobcats. Also, there is a lot of oil traffic on the neighboring ranches and Lady Bug was an extremely social lacy. Bob says also that Sassy was too and would go anywhere that Lady Bug went. If someone had opened the car door, Lady Bug would have been more than happy to get in and Sassy right behind. We all know from Amber and DJ's experience with Aggie, that having identification on a dogs collar means nothing to a lot of people. And, there is the possibility that they tangled with some coyotes. It's awful to lose a dog and not know what happened to it. We are still praying that they come home.

Bob kept his dogs penned when he wasnt at home, but he said that several times, in the past few days, the dogs had gone off, but came back when he called. The last time, he had been in the house and when he went outside and called, the dogs just never came back.

Red dog from Abe looks good Betty,, Man I hadn't been on in a while had a lot of catching up to do... Really sorry to hear about the lost dogs... I guess they were never located? Sad to hear,
I lost a beagle once that never came back and I couldn't find after he wnet off on a fox, we looked for him for almost a week, than someone found him 2 weeks later, they got info off his tags and called me ... he was found 15 miles away from where we hunted and 70 miles from my home. what a releif I thought for sure he was gone.
