Hey yall,

I know I haven't been around in a while, but I just wanted to say hello. :)
I am missing out on a lot in the Lacy world, but I hope to make it up when I'm finally out of school. Work and college have been keeping me busy, not to mention a young Lacy waiting for me at home, too.

Anyways, here are some pictures of my youngest dog, Redfield, the apartment Lacy. We are getting started in some retrieval practices in hopes of trying out some gun dog stuff later on. It's hard to train a gun dog in San Marcos -- people were freaked out when they heard our starter pistol so we had to send it back home, lol!

Also, has anyone heard of dock diving? It's an activity I am also looking into for the summer. If I get the chance to do it, I will try to get some pictures. It's a constant battle of burning energy with Red stuck in the apartment, so I'm always in search of new ways to get out of the house with him.

Hope yall are having a good spring,

Good to hear from you Rachael! Red is quite the attentive looking pup!

I watch dock diving when I catch it on tv. It looks like fun for the dog. It ought to burn some energy, that for sure.

Julie tried lure coursing with Sadie, years ago and I there should be some groups that would let you work Red. Chris Frank ran his dog, Shelby, at some lure coursing and the person that was working the equipment had to speed up the 'bait' for her, she was so fast. Sadie didnt seem to be so good at the lure coursing, but Chris said that Shelby was. Might be good for Red.

It is good to hear from you! Super cute pup...is he out of Chula's last litter?
I'm always looking for great places to take the dogs hiking. There is a 2000 acre state park in Lockhart..which isn't far from San Marcos. Might be worth a trip!

What is your major?
