We've found a large field area with some patches of light woods and a creek running through right by the house. It's been a great area for laying trails. Here are some shots of Shoes in the creek.

Blood training is going well. He ain't gonna be a very good bird dog though...he refuses to bring them back. If I can teach him to bring them, I can dove hunt without a gun. He's caught several already just sneaking up on them and pouncing.

You cant ever tell about a Lacy as a retriever! One guy has a lacy that retrieves birds, but only out of the water!! If the bird lands on the ground, he has to get it himself!!

I will use mine more as a finder, I try not to shot more then one at a time but if I can not find it because of brush or I miss marked it , Ben is a big help. But I still have to get up close to it.
