Friend shot a good deer and had good blood. Little did we know he hit the deer really low about midway back but there was a decent blood trail.
She was really focused more than any trail yet. She would check herself and come back to the trail if she got off for a second. She had her nose down really sniffing.
We tracked it across two roads and over 2 miles when we finally jumped it about 10:45 last night. Decided we better back out and let him lay up. Slim did not like this decision.
We came back at first light this morning and she got right back on the trail and after about a half mile and sparse blood we came up on him.
Someone said you can almost see the light go off and I have seen that in her this last track. She has 5 recoveries and 2 no recoveries for the year.

Fired up to see what the rest of the season brings us.

That's awesome. Nice buck, too!

Sounds like she did a heck of a job, and really stuck with it. Sounds like your friend was pretty lucky to have yall to call for help.

Good deal
