Good article on why you should not consume irradiated food, nor feed it to your pets.

http://www.truthaboutpetfood.com/articl ... means.html

I wanted to cut and paste the article to get the symbol, but it didnt pick up the symbol, so please go to the article and read it. There are pets being hurt by irradiated food and the symbol is important to know.

Just another reason to raw feed, as far as I'm concerned!!

I know that a lot of the jerky treats sold at places are irradiated. Alot of the stuff I noticed a LOT of it is from places like China. I know Ruby loves them, but I found it cheaper, even before reading this article, to go to Bj's and by chicken in bulk and use our food dehydrator. During the different hunting seasons, she gets duck jerky some venison treats if I haven't eaten it all. Lasts a while and works as a great training reward!

You are a smart pet owner, Jonathan! I've heard some bad stories about the treats that are available for dogs. I make dehydrated chicken hearts for my dogs occasionally and the dogs love them!
