A while back, I posted some info on chicken jerky treats and the dangers that they pose for dogs. Lots of dogs are getting sick and some are dying from the treats and there is not a lot known about what is causing the problem and very little is being done about it. The best course of action is to simply not by treats that come from China. DUH!! Seriously, tho, a person who feeds kibble and treats needs to be aware that much of those products either are made in China, or made of products from China. Pet food from China was responsible for 1000s of deaths of pets, both cats and dogs a few years back.

Here is an article on the treats and the dangers. http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/he ... reats.aspx

Lately, I have been seeing a treat called Milo's Kitchen Home Style treats being advertised on tv. The name makes you think that these treats are made by some small, caring company. Actually, they are made by Del Monte. So much for the home style aspect.

Time to break out the dehydrator and smoker to make your own all natural treats.

Yeah, I did that for a while. I dehydrated chicken livers for treats and the dogs loved them. They were greasy tho, so I would do something different now. Chicken would be easy, I would think.
