It is great to have good friends!!

Fred Reyna called me Wed and asked if I wanted a sika deer for the dogs. I said "Yes"! We talked a bit about how I would get it. Courtney was here and she volunteered to help me, so we went to Llano and got the deer. It was a trophy sika, but had not been gutted, so Fred- bless his heart!!- gutted it for me. It was at a taxidermist that is a good friend of Fred's and he's a very nice guy. They had it hanging when we got there. He cut off the legs and was cutting the meat off, but I told him that we could handle the rest. Courtney helped me get the rest loaded and iced down. Courtney and I had a nice drive and got out of the house for a while and my dogs got a whole deer!! Roy and I got it all cut up and in the freezer today. Dogs got a lot of meat that they normally wouldnt have and the drive was nice. I paid a bit for gas, maybe $25 to $30 gas and that isnt bad for a whole deer!!
