Post subject:  protein in food

Here is an article by Dr. Becker that is really interesting. I tried to cut and paste the whole article, but I didnt get the 'illustrations' so am just posting the link to it. http://healthypets.mercola.com/sites/he ... n=20130529

Not only does it present the problems with the protein levels and the way that they are presented, but I would like to tell people that protein doesnt have to be high for a dog to get the protein that they need. Raw meat can be anywhere from 17% to 21%. You dont have to worry if your dog is getting the right amount of protein if you are feeding raw meat, bones and organs. You also have the right amount of water in raw and you dont have to worry about how much water is in the food. To me, this article just points out how much better it is to feed raw because with raw, you just dont have to worry about what all is, or isnt, in the dog food that you are feeding.
