Just thought that I would post a few pictures of the pups eating their raw food.

The pups eating the first elk. I fixed them some hamburger, but Abe left some of his food, so Roy gave it to the pups. They ate some of the hamburger, but they thought that the elk was just pretty darn good!!

It is so much fun to watch them. They so easily take to eating raw. They know how to hold the food with their feet, how to pull the meat off of the bone and how to scissor it with the back teeth and jaw. Nature is just amazing!

Here they are having a meal of hamburger.

Once you see them use those back teeth to scissor through bone, you realize those back teeth aren't 'omnivore' teeth shaped to chew vegetables or grain, which is what I was told pretty recently at a vet's office. She tried to say cats are carnivores and dogs are omnivores, which just isn't true. So much misinformation.

Great pic's Betty... thanks for sharing!

Yep, when you look in the dogs mouth and see the way that its teeth and jaws work, it all makes sense. Those pups were scissoring that food just like the big boys do! I got some videos of it which I would like to post, but my connection just makes videos too slow to mess with. One of the pups was growling like crazy at the others, but it didnt bother the others any. That was food and they were gonna eat it!!

Nah, I'm just a vegetarian by choice ;)

Love the pics Betty, they certainly love that elk! And is that Abe or Larry in the last pic? Whoever it is, they are being very patient.
