Betty Leek and Lucy are officially out of the breeding business. Lucy has been spayed and is going to enjoy herself as a retired dam. She did a good job and I will miss the yearly litter of pups, but wont miss the work for Lucy and for me. I hope to see her lineage passed on in one or two of her pups. Maybe Jaqd someday. She produced some beautiful and good working lacy pups.

Wow, hope Lucy is doing well! Sadie felt under the weather for one night after she got spayed. By the next afternoon she was bouncing off the walls again. After a couple of days trying to keep her quiet, I gave up and figured it would be cheaper to have her stitches redone than replace everything in my house :-

If you ever want to raise puppies again, I'm sure Steve would be more than happy to send his Lucy if he ever breeds her. I know they are a lot of work, but yours are always so happy and healthy. Heck, you should just be a doggy midwife, I'm sure some of these boys would pay through the ears for that!

So when I'm ready for my second Lacy, where am I going to go for a healthy, raw fed dog, from a good line that isn't over-vaccinated?!?

Hopefully, Jim, by the time you are ready for another Lacy, there will be more people like you and me. We have a good bunch of raw feeders, just that they want their dogs to go more of a working home. I'm probably stronger on the no chemicals, no vaccines, etc than most, but I think you will find a pup that will meet your requirements. Chad doesnt solely raw feed, but he does when he has the meat available. He understands the healthy stuff and we talk about it a lot.

I would have loved for you to have gotten Carrington, but I understand that you just couldnt take her at this time. We'll find you a good, healthy Lacy pup when the time comes!!
