The NLDA requires approved breeders have their breeding stock inspected and registered. To gain full registration with the NLDR and ARF, the two registries currently recognized and accepted by the NLDA, a Lacy Dog must be at least 18 months old and pass the inspection process. Only litters from inspected dogs are eligible for registration.

The official inspection form is available at This is the form used by the NLDA, NLDR and ARF. Owners should make multiple copies of the completed and signed form for their records.

We recommend everyone interested in registering or breeding their Lacy Dogs begin the inspection process as soon as possible. Please note that discounted registration with the ARF will end on Oct. 31, 2009, and owners must allow sufficient time to have their dogs inspected before that deadline.

For more details, contact us at More details on registration can be found on these threads on the NLDR viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1189 and ARF viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1209.

To preserve and promote the Lacy as a true working breed.
