shannon, I raised heelers for awhile, over 40 pups. I have had red, white and blue pups, had 2 deaf ones and one was blue the other red. I believe the deafness in heelers comes from the dalmation when they were crossed into the dogs. It is quite common in dalmations from what i understand.

I know Luke is red, I have a picture of him. I think Lucy is a blue.

Just wanted to move this to the appropriate place so people could find it. We have found a place that will test the B, D and E coat color loci, so if we have the money, we'll get definitive confirmation of these genetic patterns.
