Well as I have said in other threads, Abby's litter was a week premature..man has this been a new one for me.

First we had the bleach indecent which Mrs. Betty wrote a brilliant thread about. As the Vet said..it will clear up AND it is :) BUT due to the premi factor and the bleach leaving their skin raw & irritated OF COURSE infection set in.. :ymsigh:
The Vet and I were on the same page here, thank goodness, so I had already started what he wanted me to do before he told me..

We did loose two pups as I had feared, Gia (the runt) and Sammy :( as painful as that was I had to think of it in a natural culling way. The other four seem to be progressing great and the vet feels they will be perfectly healthy pups before too long!

This ties in interestingly enough with the whole white spot issue..since it is almost all gone (much to my surprise) We had talked in another thread about "Fly Boy" and his white markings perhaps being caused when the mid-line closure was basically cut short by early birth..

I will take some pictures soon and get them up so y'all can see the pups, despite their rough start they are beautiful !! And Brinkley looks just like her Daddy. :)
We have had a lot going on between work, 2 deaths in the family and 2 kiddos having oral surgery..that would be why I haven't been able to keep up with the updates or even hunting stories..I will try to make up for that soon as well as catch up on how everyone is doing!!

Oh two shout outs.. first to our Vet..he is AWESOME :-BD
and Second...Steve..having you here with us has been a blessing ;) Thank You for being You!

I seriously need to do an update on these little monsters.. ;)
They are finally looking their age, and are in deed little monsters!!!!!!!!
The white on Sam's nose is gone tho Dean retained some of his mis-markings..again
it will take some time & re-breeding before we see if the markings are genetic faults or premi factors.

I will try to get some new pictures up, especially of Brinkley..man she is gorgeous and baying at pigs.. :D She is a brown dilute which is important to our breeding program but would be useless if she had no drive..she does have drive though, enough so that she is going in the woods early! Well earlier than I usually like for them to. Dean has tons of grit but is still puppy like, Sam works his nose ALL the time (busy busy nose)
So they are all showing me potential it's just that Brinkley is more important to the program right now...so if I go on about her that is why :p

I was just asking Julie at the Expo if she had heard any updates on these pups. I'm glad they're doing well.
