Alot of dog food companies will change up there formula if they do not have one ingredient at the time of process. It can be a slight change but the dog can pick up on it in a second just by smell. With the lack of rain in the middle of the country a lot of grain and corn farmers have total losses. So that will affect any feed company that uses those fillers in thier foods. The feed companies will stick something else in the mix to fill that void . If you go with a food like Victor that dosen't have corn, wheat, soy, or grain. They are much more consistant with thier mix. Here is a link to victor the red bag is a good choice. I prefer to feed raw as Betty and Courney said and have been doing it for about 3 years. It can be a hassel for some but benifits are huge.

Do to availability in our area, I have switched the dogs to TOTW. It is a high quality grain free kibble. It agrees with Jackson better, meaning smaller and harder stools. The dogs seem to like it as much if not more than Victor. I always moisten food for a few minutes prior to feeding.

thank y'all for the helpful info and that dog food adviser link. The pup is 3 months old and the breeder has been feeding him pedigree(what a shame). So he will be getting changed blue buffalo wilderness.
