Well, I am just days away from heading to deer camp with Jazz, and Blue Jean Baby, to let them get some tracking time in!
Jazz is experienced, but hasn't been out a lot recently, and BJB is going to get some serious beginner training to see what she's made of.
This will be my first trip away without taking Jones, but the girls have to have a turn, so we are going to leave him at home with Cristi... I doubt he will mind sleeping on our bed, and all of the extra attention...
Pics to follow!

Didnt you just come back from hunting?

Glad that Jazz is gonna get some work! Let us know about the little one and how she does!

I much prefer OJT for new pups, over mock blood trails which don't smell like a real deer!
Besides BJB needs to learn to ride in the truck, and how to act in the woods. So this is going to be a multifaceted training session!

Well if BJB is anything like Dottie and Miss June Bug she is going to be a real firecracker. Had my girls on a lion track with the hounds yesterday and they did pretty good. Didn't tree the lion but the southern girls stayed with the pack for the most part. Can't wait to send out some pics this winter of the girls working. Just picked up a bluetick pup and another walker pup so I'm up to 9 working dogs.

The Lacys are doing way better and the other day JUneBug decided she wanted to chase a steer so she jumped from my truck and ran it down until I gave her a tickle with the E collar and she came back to me.

Good Luck with your littermate BJB Clifford!

TJ
