These dogs are not "officially" sanctioned by the NLDA. We can make no guarantees about their personality, working ability, history or lineage. But we do feel it is important to get them exposure so they can find their forever home. So if you know of a Lacy or Lacy mix that is looking for a new family, feel free to put it up. But do not post litters unless they are with a rescue organization.

I really would rather not be asking this, but despite all my efforts, Rosie does not behave consistently enough to be in my home. I have 5 kids and often have many others visiting. She has not bitten anyone, but often growls and snaps at people who may get too close to "her personal space". I don't trust rehoming her to just anyone, and I don't feel euthanizing would be necessary, which is why am posting here. I feel if I got her to the right person, this is something that can be fixed or managed. She puts a great stress on my wife (and me) when I am not around, and she simply cannot handle the dog. If you can help me in this, I will greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,

Justin

Rosie is about 2.5 years old and I've had her since she was a pup. I had her blood tracking at 10 weeks and she has been about 50% on recovery (much of that could be hunters ;) ). She is really good with commands. She is in the yard daily and receives daily walks/runs. She tracks during hunting season for me and whatever calls I may receive. I've had her in bay pens once, when she was 6 months old, but there are no pens close enough to me to keep that up. I got her from Jimmy Brooks, her mother is Dusty Road and father is Sweet Rascal.

She is really a pretty good dog, she just has one behavior that I haven't been able to fix and unfortunately it is a big one. I am hoping in a home where she is able to work daily, like on a ranch, she will come around. I've had her around cattle and she rounds them up like noone's business, I think that might be her niche. I live in the Austin Area.

Justin she looks great. I really hate as much as you do to see an overall great lacy have this issue. I will see what I can do for you on a possible future home for your girl.
Thanks
Chris

Don't know if it would be a match but there is someone looking for a female here on the board. You might contact them.
