Is it common for female lacys to become moody or aggressive during their heat cycle?
Rowdy started her first heat 3 or 4 days ago and she has been a holy terror. One minute, she will be very clingy then she'll go hide in her kennel and randomly growl at everybody in sight. I've read that aggression or changes in personality are common in unspayed females. Is that fairly accurate? I've only owned males and one spayed female so this is a new experience for me.

Yay! A subject I actually have some knowledge of! lol ... Belle was the same way, she growled at everyone but was very lovey/clingy with us humans ... but I WILL tell you watch for that 16th day or so at the peak of her heat then she'll turn into a total s*x pot :)) .. at least that how Belle acted then a few days after that (and a hook up with Sam :ymblushing: ) she was back to being a b*itchy mess until the end. :ymdevil:

Our female Lacys (including Rowdy's dam) have never been agressive during their heat cycles. Our pit bull, on the other hand, is a completely different dog when she's in heat. I think you've heard the story from her last cycle.
