Well we thought we were out of the woods with Sam ... Tuesday that seroma started filling again but this time it felt like a hard rock then would shrink at night and yesterday I pull one staple that came loose and plucked another out this morning. Shane took him to get his staples out today and Dr. Kevin kept him and had to slice him open to remove all the dead & scar tissue that had built up. So now he will have a vertical scar plus the holes scars. Great another 4-5 days of leash walking and a week or so of pretending you can keep a lacy quiet! :p

Nothing wrong with a few battle scars, chicks dig em! Might be surprised, the worst looking scar on Ben he got at the last event, he got cut right where his front leg bends. You can't hardly see the five inch cut on his side! Hope he heals up soon.

All I can say is wow ... poor Sam! I came home and he was just a shaking from coming off the surgery and the anesthesia and in pain. They had to remove some of his outer skin too so it's more painful due to having to pull his skin together to sew & staple him shut. He's doing better this morning but still sore. Unfortunately he won't be making the Lone Star Bowhunters Expo for the blood trailing seminar w/Courtney. Belle is too big and close to whelping to bring her that far.

Thank goodness you have him treated for this. It sounds like he's had a tough road, but I bet he comes out of it just fine!

Me too! He's doing just fine now ... but he'll have staples in for another week or so ... hard keeping an active Lacy down ... on top of him not understanding why he's not allowed into the room where Belle has her pups!

Poor Sam. His life needs to get back on track! Hope that everything continues to improve.

Yup, hopefully we'll get things calmed down soon. Belle and Leia (our heeler mix fixed female) got into it yesterday and my pretty Belle now has a left ear that looks like the state of California!

Fighting females- they can do some damage!! Did Belle's ear bleed like crazy? Donny has a little bull dog mix of some sort and she got Ben's ear one time and I thought that it would never quit bleeding.

A good lacy has to have some scars! You just dont tell them that the ear damage came from being at home!! :))

Yes her ear bleed like crazy Shane said. But the vet stitched her up good and she's healing well so far.

Yes she now has some nasty looking scars ... probably would be a good thing to not mentioned it happened at home lol!
