These dogs are not "officially" sanctioned by the NLDA. We can make no guarantees about their personality, working ability, history or lineage. But we do feel it is important to get them exposure so they can find their forever home. So if you know of a Lacy or Lacy mix that is looking for a new family, feel free to put it up. But do not post litters unless they are with a rescue organization.

We have a 5 yr old male lacy that is too aggressive and would like to find a new home for. We contacted the breeder but they couldn't help us. We are just south east of San Antonio.

JB,

Is this dog neutered and is he papered? Has he ever been on hogs or cattle? Can you tell us a little more about him- it will help people who might be interested in him.

Very often, a dog that is too aggressive is that way because they dont get enough work for their prey drive. Dont know if that is this dogs problem, but it might be. I know of a female that jumped the fence and fought with a neighbors dog. The owner had to get rid of her because of the neighborhood rules. They placed her on a ranch and she is doing just fine. Hopefully, the same can happen for your dog.

I have been in contact with the owner of this dog. Here is some info that she provided about him.

"Sam is intact and was born August 10, 2008. I have the registration papers but never mailed them in. His sire is Cavin's Blue Hoss and his dam is Cavin's Blue Nugget. Sam is aggressive to some extent. He won't tolerate any other male dogs but he's ok with females. He is VERY protective of me but I'm not sure what he would do if I were attacked. He seems to have a sense about him that he knows when I'm doing something he feels is dangerous, such as ride a horse or climb a latter. He gets real nervous and try's to be right beside me. Sam is very athletic. He jumps our 4 foot yard fence like a deer. That's one of the reasons we can no longer keep him."

This boy needs a home with a job! I hope that some one can take him and give him a job on a ranch or hunting hogs!
